Parts Sales Profit

This indicator provides a multidimensional analysis that makes it possible to understand profit by family, type, customer, part, among others. This allows users to identify, for example, the parts families with the highest profit, or those families where profit is low and action is needed by increasing prices, reducing discounts, or lowering costs.

Goal
The goal is to maximize profitability without losing competitiveness, ensuring that prices cover costs and generate adequate margins.

What happens when it is green

It means that the dealership is achieving strong profitability margins in the parts area. This reflects efficient price and cost management, a solid commercial policy, and a positioning that allows sales with added value without depending on excessive discounts.

What happens when it is red

It indicates that profits on sales are reduced, which may be due to high acquisition costs, unprofitable pricing strategies, a high level of discounts, or strong competition that forces margins to be reduced.

Improvement strategies

To improve profit on average parts sales, it is key to optimize the pricing policy and commercial management. This involves reviewing margins by product line, applying differentiated pricing strategies by channel or customer, and adjusting sales prices as costs or inflation increase. In addition, using profitability analysis tools helps detect low-margin parts and correct them without losing competitiveness.

Relationship with other indicators

This indicator is linked to average profit per transaction, immobilized parts stock, and the fill rate — availability rate.

If immobilized stock is high, it may put pressure on profitability if discounts are applied to free up inventory.

A good level of availability — fill rate — helps maintain profit by avoiding lost sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.

In addition, it impacts financial indicators such as return on sales — ROS — and operating result, as it reflects the contribution of the parts area to total profitability.
